Vision and Values

Our Vision

  • Healthful Lifestyle

    We encourage guests to eat healthy, tasty food and to try new dishes. We provide reliable, accurate and consistent nutrition information. We counsel guests with allergies and intolerances, and adapt menus to meet special needs.
     
  • Value

    We ensure Anytime Dining plan members get the most for the their money - unlimited access to dining halls. We are fiscally responsible and efficient in all aspect of food service.
  • Sustainability

    We buy, prepare and showcase sustainable food including vegetables from our own Terp Farm. We achieved the goals of our Sustainable Food Commitment and continue to raise expectations. We reduce waste of food and disposable products.
  • Customer Service

    We make guests feel at home, like family. We listen, observe, and respond to create positive dining experiences.

 

 

Our Values

  • Feed the Turtle

    We feed Anytime Dining plan members all semester long. We serve a wide range of cuisines and flavors, celebrating different cultures.
  • Support Academics

    We open early and stay open late, accommodating all academic schedules. We offer quiet rooms for individual study and convenient spaces for groups to meet.
  • Build Community

    We participate in all-campus initiatives. We support the Farmer's Market at Maryland and UMD Campus Pantry. We cater and deliver food for events all across campus.
  • Develop Team Members

    We treat each other with respect. We develop, support, and celebrate team members through training, mentoring, and recognition programs.
