Policies and Information

Ordering Timeline
All orders need 72 hours notice prior to event. Minimum order of $30.00 Orders must be placed at least three working days prior to the event. Orders place with less than 3 working days notice will be invoiced a late fee of $35. Upon receipt of your order, we will email you a detailed invoice for your approval & payment. Your order is not finalized & production cannot be scheduled until we have received a copy of the signed invoice & payment in full. UMD Departments: Check your emailed invoice to be sure your order is correct.

By placing your order, you are authorizing Goodies 2 Go to charge your KFS account or departmental purchasing card for the order. No further authorization is required. Any changes to an order must be communicated to & confirmed by Goodies 2 Go no later than two working days prior to the event.
 

Off-premise fee
The off-premise charge is required to cover costs associated with safely transporting your food and equipment. If your event is being held in a facility where Good Tidings has a kitchen, then you will be exempt from the off-premise charge. These locations are the Stamp Student Union, the Xfinity Center and Tyser Tower at Maryland Stadium.

China Service
We can provide plain white porcelain plates, stainless steel flatware, and glassware for your event for $4 a person. Events held at the Stamp Student Union, the Xfinity Center, and Tyser Tower at Maryland Stadium are exempt from this fee. China service is a great way to offer a zero waste event by eliminating disposables.

Linens
Good Tidings is proud to be able to provide basic linens for your food service tables as well
as your guest tables for no additional charge, making us unique among many other caterers. We offer complimentary linens in the following colors: black, white, red, and gold. We are happy to explore other color schemes with you and bring in linens from vendors with whom we have relationships. linens from other vendors will be subject to additional charges.

Staff Charges
All of our events require staff to set up, serve, and clean up. oOur well-trained staff will be at your event for anything that your or your guests need. We will determine the number of servers, bartenders, cashiers, and carvers that are necessary to execute your event successfully, and those charges will appear on your contract. In addition, we will provide a highly skilled professional event manager to supervise all aspects of your event for no additional charge.

Sustainability
We know sustainability is important to you and we hold it to be a core value as well. We are busy building systems that will help reduce our environmental footprint though local sourcing, composting, recycling, and donations to the student-led Food Necovery Network. The disposable products we use can be recycled or composted. We are happy to work with you to make your event even more green with vegetarian and vegan menus items, by eliminating disposables, and by highlighting seasonal and/or local products. The University provides containers for composting and recycling all over campus. To find a compost container near your event, view the campus map. 

Dietary Restrictions

Drop Off Delivery
We can deliver your order to your on-campus site 15–30 minutes before the start of your event to allow you ample time to set up.
10% delivery charge: $10.00 minimum charge | $100.00 maximum charge

Pick Up
If you prefer, you can collect your order. Pick up can be scheduled Monday–Friday from 7:30 am–4:30 pm at the Stamp Loading Dock.

Special Orders
Most platters, sandwiches, salads, etc. can be modified to accommodate dietary preferences or requirements. Ask a sales representative for details.

Cancellations
Cancellation of any order with less than 24 hour notice
will incur a charge.

    • Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 am–4:00 pm ($195.00 minimum order required)

    • Monday–Friday: 8:00 am–4:00 pm (After 4:00 pm $195.00 minimum order required)
    • Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 am–4:00 pm ($195.00 minimum order required)
  • Spring Semester
    • Monday–Friday: 8:00 am–6:00 pm
    • Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 am–4:00 pm ($195.00 minimum order required)
  • Summer Term
    • Monday–Friday: 8:00 am–4:00 pm (After 4:00 pm $195.00 minimum order required)
    • Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 am–4:00 pm ($195.00 minimum order required)

Office Hours

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 am–4:30 pm

Closed when campus is closed, observed holidays, inclement weather, & other emergencies.
